Are you ready to use your skills for something that truly matters? Abbeyfield Bristol & Keynsham isn’t just another charity; we’re a community. We provide supported housing and a sense of belonging for older people, and we’re on a mission to do even more.

As we prepare to celebrate our 60th Anniversary, we are looking for new trustees to join our board.

The Role of a Trustee

As a Trustee, you will serve on a voluntary basis, playing a vital role in our organisation’s strategic direction and governance. You will work with the dedicated Board and our Chief Executive Officer to ensure we achieve our mission and deliver on our new strategic plan.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking passionate individuals who are committed to the welfare of older people. While we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, we are currently looking to strengthen our Board with specific skills in any of the following areas:

  • Finance
  • VCSE and Social Housing
  • Legal
  • Human Resources
  • Marketing & Communications

Commitment

  • Term: Trustees serve a 3-year term, after which they may be re-elected.
  • Time: The Board meets quarterly to set strategic direction and monitor performance. Trustees will also be asked to be part of a sub groups when required and are encouraged to visit the Houses.
