Easter Compton
Our smallest house, Abbeyfield House in Easter Compton offers thirteen one-bed and studio apartments in a lovely, rural setting. The house was built by Abbeyfield 23 years ago when the builder, who constructed the other houses in the cul-de-sac, donated the land for use by us. This characterful house has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, which is apparent from the minute you walk through the door. There is a true sense of ‘family’ here.
All our Abbeyfield houses are run by our experienced, friendly team members. You’ll get to know our fantastic chefs, our very helpful handyman, and of course, someone is always on hand should you need extra help, or fancy a chat over a cup of tea. As a resident in our Easter Compton house, you will enjoy beautiful views across the countryside; the year-round planting and flowers in the extensive gardens and sunny courtyards; and listening to the tinkling fountain at the front of the house.
There are daily coffee mornings, which are always well attended; visits from local volunteers; and a calendar of social activities, including Christmas lunches, and parties to include families and friends. Many residents go along to the local day centre once a week, for Scrabble and other activities… It can get quite competitive!

Easter Compton is a delightful village in South Gloucestershire, just a few minutes off Junction 17 of the M5 motorway. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac location, this gorgeous house enjoys a countryside location with local amenities very close by. Just a short walk away is a local shop selling many essential items. And 1.5 miles away is Cribbs Causeway, Bristol’s largest shopping and leisure complex, where you can browse over 150 high street shops in the indoor mall. There’s a fabulous John Lewis store with lovely cafes, and a large Marks & Spencer at the other end of The Mall. There are some walks locally which give great views of the surrounding countryside, especially from the top of Spaniorum Hill.
