We’ve been preparing for the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, this Remembrance Sunday, at some of our houses across the city. In Hanham, residents have been making poppies from lemonade bottles and decorating them with sharpie pens. They were also cutting out silhouette soldiers to add to the display.
As it was half term week last week, we also had a little helper, called Meme, join in the craft morning so a huge thanks to her.
At our house in Keynsham, we‘ve positioned a beautiful eye-catching poppy by the front door. Lovely tributes for all the soldiers who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.
