Across all 5 of our lovely Abbeyfield houses, your well-being and quality of life lies at the very heart of everything we do. You will have your own self-contained flat, with a fabulous en suite bathroom. The flats are neutrally decorated for you to furnish in your own style.  Flats are designed to take into account the specific needs of older people, and have been adapted to help you with other considerations such as failing sight, hearing, or mobility. Our on-site handyman will fix grab-rails, check your appliances, and carry out other jobs such as hanging curtain rails, picture hooks, changing light bulbs or putting up shelves. This is all part of the all-inclusive service we offer.

In addition, we provide 3 delicious meals a day. Breakfast is normally served in a buffet-style and coffee is served in the lounge during the morning. We use seasonal ingredients, and our menus are developed in consultation with you so that we can ensure we cater to your specific dietary requirements; likes and dislikes.

We hope you will enjoy the beautifully maintained and extensive gardens, and we’re always delighted when residents want to help with planting and maintenance.

Our communal areas really are the hub of the house.

Our houses arrange their own events and activities, and these vary from regular activities such as daily coffee mornings, book clubs, keep-fit and shopping trips; to occasional cheese and wine evenings, and games nights. Click here to take your next steps to an Abbeyfield retirement
